Pine City drew 3AAA The Blake School in the Consolation Championship game in the Cloquet Holiday Tournament, coming away with a 72-47 win.
A slow start plagued The Dragons, but quickly woke up and played very well in all phases of the game. Throughout the game, PC steadily extended their lead through the final whistle.
Kole Jusczak (29 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists) and Jake Lunceford (6 points, 6 rebounds) again lead The Dragons in rebounds followed by Noah Adams (17 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 6 steals) and Nathan Kleppe (7 points, 5 rebounds).
This was the second year Pine City has been invited to the tournament and their second year taking 3rd place while being the smallest school at the tournament.

12/29/15: St. Paul Central (Cloquet Tournament)
In the opening round of the Cloquet Holiday Tournament, Pine City found themselves matched up with a team two divisions bigger then them in St. Paul Central.
In the first half, both teams battle back and forth; just when it felt like St. Paul Central would extend the lead, Pine City was able to battle back and cut the lead to 10 going into halftime (34-24). In the second half, the size and athleticism of St. Paul Central out matched the relentlessness of Pine City leading to the 75-45 loss.

Kole Jusczak -- 1,000 Career Points
On Friday night in front of many fans, family members, and friends; senior Kole Jusczak scored his 1,000 career varsity point. This is Kole's 4th year on varsity. He is the 11th player and 7th boy to achieve this milestone in school history.
"Kole has worked so hard to create what he is: the player and person he is; he deserves this great milestone" said Coach Kyle Allen, who has been with Jusczak his entire varsity career. "He is a very talented and special basketball player, he can do thing that very few others can" Allen continued.
Allen stated that "Kole has moved all over the floor for us in four years, has literally played all 5 positions on the floor. He has scored these 1,000 points in so many different ways; something that makes it that much more special for him".
Jusczak ended the night with 1,006 career points.

Pine City defeated Isle at home on Friday night with a final score of 92-38. 11 players scored in the game for The Dragons.
PC got off to a slow start, but in second part of the first half, they began to pull away and never looked back.
Kole Jusczak (14 points, 15 rebounds), Nathan Kleppe (6 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists) and Clay Logan (11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 charge taken) lead the way for PC on the boards; setting the tone on both end of the floor. Kleppe also lead the team in assists, "running the show" on the offensive end, while Noah Adams (11 points, 5 steals) took control on the defensive end leading the team in steals.
Late in the first half, Jusczak scored his 1,000 career point on the varsity floor; he ended the game at 1006.
The Dragons will travel to Cloquet, MN next for their holiday tournament where they will play St. Paul Central on the 29th and The Blake School on the 30th.
