Pine City fell to Rush City 77-73 on Tuesday night in their home and conference opener.
From a statistical standpoint, The Dragons did some good throughout the game. They broke the school record of 3 pointers made in a game with 16 (which was set last year in the 1st round of the playoffs), senior Noah Adams continued to shine coming close to a triple-double (16 points, 9 assists, 8 steals), and they were able to turn Rush City over 29 times in the contest.
On the other side of the picture, Pine City gave up too many offensive rebounds leading to some easy put backs, struggled in and around the basket on the offensive end, and continued to not shoot a great percentage at the free throw line.
Clay Logan (21 points) lead The Dragons in scoring followed by Adams, Kole Jusczak (13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists), and Nick Hansmann (11 points).
Up next for PC is a trip to North Branch on Tuesday after the Thanksgiving break.

11/20/15 (@Foley)
The Dragons were unable to complete the comeback against Foley in the season opener on the road against the new section foe falling 66-62 to The Falcons.
A slow start doomed PC from the start, finding themselves down early and 16 at halftime. Pine showed their youth in comparison to the older and larger opponents of Foley. The score at half was 20-36.
However, Senior Noah Adams (32 points-career high, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) and Kole Jusczak (11 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks) along with better second half play from sophomore Clay Logan (11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) helped pave the way for a chance at a great comeback. The Dragons had several chances to finish this game, but were unable to make the consecutive plays needed to do it.
The next matchup will be the home and conference opener on Tuesday against Rush City.

2015-16 Captains
Three boys have been named captains for the 2015-16 Basketball season for the Boys Basketball Program.
Every year, players are given the opportunity to apply to be a captain once they reach the varsity level. Any player interested must nominated themselves and fill our a captaincy application. Once these are filled out and turned in, the players vote for captains.
Because there were only three players who filled out the applications, and we felt each one had the qualities of a leader, there was not a need for a vote this year.
2015-16 Captains:
Senior Noah Adams
