Both home and away, Pine City defeats rival Braham
Pine City 69, Braham 44
The next night, Friday, Feb. 15, the Dragons were back on their home court for their second match-up of the week against Braham. Pine City could not find their rhythm early in the first half, which led to a high Dragon foul count.
“The game itself was very choppy. We could never really get into a rhythm. Part of that was our own aggressiveness that led to the foul count,” said coach Allen. “We out-fouled Braham 22-7 in the game. But I was happy with how we continued to be aggressive and did not get frustrated in the process.”
Foul problems didn’t hinder the Dragons’ scoring capabilities as Pine City defeated Braham, for the second time this week, with a final score of 69-44.
On Friday, Feb. 22, the Dragons play their last season home game hosting Moose Lake/Willow River.
