In dramatic fashion, Pine City went to Braham on Thursday night and ended their state record 85+ game winning streak at home 71-48.
The game was tightly contested throughout the first half, with both teams having the lead. Junior Jake Lunceford (13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists) and Freshman Seth Logan (11 points, 8 rebounds) helped a lot on the offensive end of the court during the first half as Pine City took a 3 point lead into halftime.
Coming out of half, Jake Rademacher (14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 charge taken) came out firing scoring the first 6 points out of the gate. Improved full court defense and rebounding helped The Dragons in the second half lead by Nick Hansmann (3 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) and Senior Adam Seals (9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 charge taken). Junior Clay Logan (16 points, 4 assists, 4 steals) hit his free throws at the end sealing the game for PC.
Next up, Pine City will travel to Hinkley-Finlayson on Tuesday for a big Conference matchup.
