Pine City held on for the victory on Tuesday night at home against Rush City 58-55 in front of a loud home crowd.
The contest proved to be a see-saw battle that showed Rush City continually fighting back. The Tigers did lead by 1 at half-time, but a nice run to start the second half proved to be the difference in the game for The Dragons.
Even scoring again helped The Dragons in the contest as Noah Adams (16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals, 6 assists), Nathan Kleppe (11 points, 3 rebounds), Mitchell Hansmann (10 points, 4 rebounds/assists/steals), and Kole Jusczak (10 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists) all scored in double digits. Coming off the bench, James Pixley again held his own on the inside on defense with 5 blocks.
Pine City will host Moose Lake-Willow River on Thursday at home in a huge section matchup with the possibility of playoff seeding on the line.
