12/5/14 (@Hinckley-Finlayson) Game Review

The Dragons found themselves in foul trouble and down 1 at half time against the Jaguars of Hinckley-Finlayson on Friday night.  All five starters for PC watched from the bench at the end of the first half due to two fouls apiece.

The reinforcements did an admiral job keeping the game close as H-F was unable to pull away by more then one going into half.

Coming out of half, the Dragons went on a 25-5 run, helping seal a 72-57 victory.

Senior Mitchell Hansmann lead the balanced scoring attack with 16 followed by juniors Noah Adams and Kole Jusczak (15 each) and freshman Nathan Kleppe with 12 off the bench.

Jusczak recorded his second consecutive double-double pulling in 10 rebounds with junior Gabe Gonyea and Adams pulling down 5 and 6 respectfully.  Adams also helped on the defensive end having 8 steals while senior Easton Foss, Hansmann, and Gonyea each had 4.

Kleppe and Adams also distributed the basketball well with 5 and 6 assists respectively.

The Dragons had two major advantages in the game, for the second straight game, every eligible varsity player played in the game.  The second HUGE advantage was the tremendous crowd, fans, family members, and students that traveled to H-F to cheer on the team; they were defining, enthusiastic, and just plain awesome!

Next, Pine City will travel to Braham to take on the rival Bombers (12/9/14).
