2/10/17: Rush City

Varsity: W (83-65)
JV: W (65-26)
C-Squad: W (59-45)

Pine City Pioneer, Jesse Logan

Pine City 83, Rush City 65
The Dragons came out sluggish in this contest and trailed by one at halftime. Pine City responded with what may have been their best half of the season and earned their 14th victory of the year in the process. The Dragons got significant contributions from just about everyone down the stretch, and were keyed by the timely shooting of Adam Seals and Nick Hansmann, the latter of which opened the second half with eight points in the first 2:45 of play. Jake Adams also had some big shots for the Dragons.
“Close game in the first half,” said Allen. “Rush came out aggressive and was shooting the ball well. They had a great game plan and shots weren’t falling at a high enough rate in the first half for us. The second half, we thought we were able to wear them down a little bit and we got the shots we wanted. We relied on our depth. Jake Rademacher had a great game with 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Seth Logan also did a nice job on the boards with six rebounds; he continues to do nice things and use his height to our advantage. Adam Seals had some clutch, big shots for us. Damien Schwab also had some nice runs, some nice rebounds and scored as well.”
Pine City was led in scoring by Hansmann with 20, followed by Rademacher’s 13, and 10 apiece from Lunceford, Clay Logan and Seals. Jake Adams had nine.
The Dragons earned their 15th victory of the season with a win at Isle on Monday, Feb. 13. Full coverage in next week’s Pioneer.
