2/12/19: @Braham

Both home and away, Pine City defeats rival Braham

Because of the makeup game, the Dragons ended up playing Braham twice this past week, which is something you do not see often.
Pine City 85, Braham 62
On Tuesday, Feb. 12, Pine City’s boys basketball team traveled to Braham for their first matchup. On offense, Pine City totaled 26 assists on their way to their 85-62 victory over Braham.
“Braham has to be one of the hardest places to play. All of the history, winning, and great basketball that has been played in that gym, it has a certain feel. The Braham name is still synonymous with basketball in the state of Minnesota. When people say ‘Braham,’ they think basketball,” said coach Kyle Allen.
Pine City had a great night defensively and showed their strength under the boards with a lot of Dragon contributors. Seth Logan led Pine City with nine total rebounds, followed by Christian Fromm, Chris Trudeau and Jake Adams, all with seven.
The Dragons ended the night with 49 total rebounds. Konner Jusczak stepped up on defense taking two charges, turning the ball over to the Dragons, and Nick Hansmann took one.
Varsity: W (85-62)
JV: W (63-51)
